2nd DGR Course in Executive Business Management

  1. Increase the industrial interactions, including PSUs
  2. Thank all the esteemed faculty for their support and guidance.
  3. Suggestions to improve: Nullify dependence on rote learning especially for exams.
  4. Have open book online exams where required as at this stage, we will. always have things or people to refer to while taking decisions.
  5. Assessment couldn’t shift to classroom participation techniques, quizzes, open book limited exams etc.
  6. Have industry experts talks, apart from faculty (suggested at least two talks per subject) apart from the teach program.
  7. More mock interviews: Invite hiring HR heads to talk to us and have their teams assess us for types of roles.
  8. Definitely, utilize the placement committees of various other programs of the institute and tap into the combined and collective exposure of contacts, to assist in placements (which is the key outcome required post any upskilling course).
  9. Extensive coverage of syllabus
  10. Focus should shift from exams to attaining knowledge & selection for jobs.
  11. Some subjects can be removed from 1st module which are not relevant as per desired expectations of the transitioning officers. More inclusion of interviews, Technical analytical subjects and tools, techniques as per current industry relevance.
  12. Industry Experts in various domains HR, Security, Operations etc. can be included
  13. Only one recommendation feedback for module 1 shall be taken in advance, so that in planning teachers for second module would be easy. Over all it is a learning experience.
  14. Faculty needs to be understand that candidates are spending time, money and effort here
Cost Accounting, OB, BC, HR & Research Methodology course duration should be reduced by 50%. Guest lectures and industry visits should be included.
  15. Overall course is a good learning oriented towards smooth transition from military to corporate. Inclusion of industry visits and interactions with senior leadership will deepen the corporate understanding. Structured learning towards skill development in fields like data analytics, SAP solutions, Agile and relevant certifications will validate legacy experience and benefit in placements. Methodological inclusion of CV building , leveraging LinkedIn and job portals/consultancy firms will definitely be rewarding during transition.
